Is there a free customer support tool with AI included?
Yes. Helpo's Free plan is a working AI customer support tool, not a time-limited trial: an embeddable chat widget, a shared inbox with human takeover and tickets, and AI answers grounded in your own docs. It answers 100 AI questions a day on 1 project, with no card required.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Every new workspace starts with 14 days of Pro, with no card. When the trial ends, the workspace moves to the Free plan by itself and nothing is deleted. Free doesn't expire: it runs the same widget, inbox and AI with smaller limits — 100 AI questions a day, 1 project, 2 team members, 5 knowledge-base pages, 10 store products and 25 leads. Upgrade from Billing in your dashboard at any point to keep Pro.
What counts as an AI question?
Each visitor message the AI answers, plus each reply draft you ask the AI to write in the inbox. Messages your team sends, internal notes and system messages are never counted, and the count resets every day at 00:00 UTC.
What happens when I reach the daily limit?
On Free, the AI stops answering until the count resets at 00:00 UTC. Conversations still reach your inbox, so your team can reply. On Pro and Premium the AI keeps answering, and questions past the daily allowance are billed at $0.50 per 100.
Can I remove the “Powered by Helpo” badge?
Yes, with the Remove “Powered by Helpo” add-on: $9.99/mo on Pro and Premium, and it takes the badge off every widget in your workspace. Add it from Billing in your dashboard once you're on a paid plan; during the free 14 days of Pro the badge stays on. Ultimate never shows it, and Free always does.
Do you charge per seat?
No. Every plan includes team members — 2 on Free, 6 on Pro, 12 on Premium and unlimited on Ultimate — and you never pay per person.
Does the WordPress plugin need a paid plan?
No. The plugin connects on every plan, Free included, and so does the one-line script tag. Upgrading raises the limits — AI questions a day, knowledge-base pages, store products and leads. Taking the Helpo badge off is a separate add-on.
Can I change plans later?
Yes. Upgrade from Billing in your dashboard whenever you need more room; your projects, knowledge base and conversations carry over as they are. Add-ons can be added or cancelled on their own.
Is my data used to train AI models?
Not on a paid plan: your knowledge, conversations and vectors are stored per tenant and never used to train AI models. On the Free plan, conversations sent to the AI may be used to improve AI models.
